Testimonials
Thank you for facilitating a scholarship gift from the Hatcher Broadus & Thelma Valentine Baxter Scholarship Fund. Scholarship support is so very important for our students and I am confident we can identify a commendable student for this honor. We are proud of our Methodist heritage and are truly blessed to have such strong support from the Virginia Conference.
Best regards,
Sincerely,
Robert R. Lindgren, President
Ted,
Your presentation was perfect for our purposes.
We have a followup meeting scheduled with Administration, Board Chair, Finance, and Lay leader to plan our next steps in presenting the endowment to the congregation.
Thanks again,
Joe
Dear Stephen,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share with the Ramsey Church through the preaching of the Word and the small group session. You touched the lives of the Disciples of Christ. In Christ,

Dear Steph,
You are such a blessing! Thank you very much for your timely preaching on legacy. Several people have told me, in essence, "that it was meat to chew on!" I am looking forward to even great opportunities for my people to be involved in The Foundation.

A huge thank you to Team Endowment and many others for their tremendous support that helped make this morning's services by Steph Clark such an outstanding success.
Our church was very blessed this morning by Steph's message "Preparing for a Greater Future". Based on the positive comments from church members and actual responses that Steph received from prospective donors, his remarks, explanations and examples were well received at all three services. Thank you again Steph for all of your time and planning that went into these services and your help with the printed literature. All things considered I would have to conclude mission accomplished.
Thank you!
Dick Covington, Highland UMC
Stephen -
Thank you for all your help and counseling us on wealth management and trust. We met with the Trust Attorney once and was able to sign the trust documents today and folded the bank accounts into the trust. It was a really easy process because of the prep work you did with us. Thanks again, you have been a blessing to us.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Dear Stephen,
Clem and I express our appreciation as you gave of your time in advising us with reference to our long term financial plans. You were most helpful. With the theology that you place as a basis for your financial thinking, we all are bless, including the entire VA Conference. I especially think of Central Church and its present financial base.
Thanks again. We hope to see you along the way, The Christian Way.
Sincerely in Him,
Bill

You did a superb job leading the workshop on stewardship. I left with a much better idea of the meaning of stewardship and a strategy for changing the culture.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Thank you so much for your wonderful message yesterday and the informative seminar after lunch. I am so sorry that more people could not take advantage of your information, but that just seems to happen sometimes.
We appreciate your coming to Bethany and welcome you back anytime that you can. You have given us MUCH to think about - now we need to get busy and do what is best for each of us. Again, many thanks for coming.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* We really benefited from Stephen Clark's service at our church. It started with his advice to better invest our savings account at the foundation by switching to a better current investment plan. His communication before, during, and after his Sunday morning presentation was excellent. Finally, his Sunday service presentation and his potluck presentation were extremely informative as well as deeply rooted in our Biblical understanding of stewardship. Any church would benefit both financially and spiritually from having The Foundation come for a seminar or workshop.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* It was John Wesley who encouraged the people called "Methodist" to "earn all you can, save all you can, and give all you can." The Foundation staff have spent many years in ministry and are now called by God to help Christians to be good stewards of the resources given to us. I have had several conversations about the topic of stewardship, and have learned something important each time that has prompted my husband and me to have some productive conversations about our plan for giving during our lifetime and what we wish to leave as a legacy when we are gone. Interestingly, one of the duties of a pastor is to make sure that information of this type is provided to members of the congregation. So, I have invited Stephen Clark to present this information to us ? and offer a seminar giving us concrete examples of how individuals are availing themselves of current tax provisions to maximize their own income, and to give wisely and generously to beloved charitable causes.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* I just want to thank you again for appearing at Aldersgate Wednesday evening to educate and inform us as to what is possible here for our endowment and planned giving programs. Your talk could not have been more helpful and informative. It also served to energize our committee for the work we need to do.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* Thank you for sacrificing so freely your time and your energy to come and share with us at St. Matthias UMC yesterday! People were truly blessed by your passion for our Lord and for using His resources for the kingdom!
My focus for February newsletter, Pastor's Pen, brings out the fourth gift we have with which to impact God's kingdom: Touch. I had just used this poem in the memorial service for a wonderful mother and RN on Saturday. It's also pasted into my mom's Bible.
Blessings to you in Christ,

******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* I very much enjoyed the Stewardship training session that Bryan led for the Elizabeth River District - learning that stewardship is not just about money, but also about spirituality and generosity, and sharing the gift of God thru discipleship. Thank you for sending the weekly resource. I look forward to reading it.
Thank you again for a wonderful Stewardship session!!

Without her help, I wouldn't have been able to do it!
